Monsters Inc Disneybound

When Disney announced that the Monsters Inc meet and greet was closing in April to make room for the new Star Wars and Toy Story expansions, we knew we just HAD to plan a trip to Hollywood Studios for a Monsters Inc Disneybound.

Tucked away near the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playspace, the Monsters Inc meet and greet with Mike and Sully is such a hidden treasure! There is rarely a long wait time and the characters are great to interact with.

We made our ears inspired by Mike and Sully and even made a last minute Boo costume for the ‘princess’. We actually went through the line TWICE to get pictures!

I actually silkscreened the scarf myself at the St Augustine Seafood Festival from a craft vendor. Our skirts were made from half price spring fabric at Hobby Lobby. After meeting the characters in Hollywood Studios, we headed to Magic Kingdom for one of the last showings of the Scare Floor Comedy Show. The cast members LOVED our outfits and literally flipped out when we put the Boo costume on. They ended up seating us in a specific part of the theatre so they could feature her during one of the comedy acts. How fun!

And of course we finished the night with Wishes and Magic Kingdom fireworks from one of our new favorite viewing spots, the Fairy Boat launch site!
