Our nursery is finally finished! I have spent so many countless hours perfecting this room for the arrival of our princess and I am so excited to share pictures with you of her pink and grey nursery.
DIY Pink and Grey Nursery
We painted the entire room a pale grey and did one wall with metallic silver stripes. My mom purchased the round crib from Walmart as a shower gift. The changing table was given to us and the ‘wardrobe’ was converted from an old TV cabinet. A lot of paint (and time) later and it made a beautiful storage solution for all of her clothes. I purchased the “Evelyn” letters from Hobby Lobby when they had Paper Craft products 50% off, score! The ‘E’ was also purchased for $2 at Hobby Lobby. I covered it in glue and added the pearls and then hot glued ribbon to the back so it could hang. The rocking chair was purchased second hand from Swip Swap for only $150 and is really is amazing like-new condition.
I designed the printables myself and framed them with half off frames from (you guessed it) Hobby Lobby. If you love the printables, they’re available below in 8×10 size for DOWNLOAD.
I also built the floating shelf for books by using two piece of 2x4s and a piece of crown molding, added some wood glue and paint and ta-da! My husband helped screw them directly into beams in the wall. It’s such an easy way to display books and photos, I actually made two more for our living room. I may be a little obsessed with the photo ledge idea!
Upcycled & Thrifty Finds
One of my favorite accents is the up cycled chandelier. We purchased an old brass fixture from a thrift store. I sanded it down and painted it silver. It took 4 people to help hang it, but I absolutely LOVE the way it looks! So perfect and girly for our princess. Now we wait for her arrival…
