Fancy Nancy Birthday Ideas + Free Party Printables

Based on the beloved book series and new Disney Junior TV show, Fancy Nancy is becoming quite popular among young girls. If your daughter is a Fancy Nancy fan, check out these Fancy Nancy birthday ideas and free printables to make her party tres magnifique (that’s French for very magnificent).

Fancy Nancy Birthday Party Ideas

For this Fancy Nancy party, we used a color scheme of light pink, hot pink, teal and yellow. These are the basic colors of Fancy Nancy’s dress. Tea cups were a must (these were found at a local thrift store) and so were all things fancy including this garden lantern from Ikea, yellow sunflowers in spray painted rose gold mason jars, tea pots and loose pearl strands. We also layered in lots of sparkles with a pink sequin tablecloth and hot pink sequin runner. The paper flowers on the backdrop (from Hobby Lobby) gave it the perfect touch.

If you’re in need of activities for your Fancy Nancy party, try setting up a Beauty Bar. Set up a display table with lots of costume jewelry, hats, sunglasses, tutus, make-up, etc and a fancy looking mirror. Let your guests beautify themselves with all the fancy things they want. Tea party games can also be lots of fun. Try stacking sugar cubes to see who can make the tallest tower or play guess that phrase using popular French sayings from Fancy Nancy books/shows.

Fancy Nancy Cupcake Toppers

Cupcakes are crucial to any birthday party. We ordered simple pink and yellow frosted cupcakes and then used these adorable Fancy Nancy cupcake toppers. The free printable is available by joining my party planning group here. I used a 1.5″ scalloped circle punch and glued them to lollipop sticks. They are actually square designs, so you can still use them even if you don’t have a circle punch. They also make great favor tags with a hole punch and little bit of ribbon.

Fancy Nancy Birthday Party Food Ideas

When I think of Fancy Nancy, many tea party classics come to mind. A simple and easy dish is tea sandwiches. You can make these in your child’s favorite flavor (PB&J, Ham & Cheese, etc) by simply cutting off the crust and cutting them into small quarter triangles.

Other great food options include pink wafer cookies, macaroons (Trader Joe’s has the BEST), brownie bites or Petit Fours, and fresh fruit (add the cupcake toppers onto skewers for a fun look). Candy treats are always a hit. Find lollipops in yellow or pink (Party City has lots of options), pink Hershey Kisses, gum balls or marshmallows are super cute when added to different size jars.
