What Moms Really Want for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is approaching, and sometimes it’s hard to know exactly what moms want. While I don’t speak for all moms collectively, I’m sure most mothers would appreciate the items included in this list. If you’re wondering what moms really want for Mother’s Day, here are 7 simple things you can give her this year.

Something Just for Her

Every mom has something that she really wants but doesn’t necessarily buy herself. For me, this year, I really want a pair of Reebok Harman Run shoes. I haven’t bought new sneakers for myself in a few years and fell in love with the color and style of these shoes while browsing the Kohl’s website. Especially right now, Kohl’s is a convenient and dependable retailer that I can trust to meet my family’s needs. The Reebok Harman Run shoes are the perfect Mother’s Day gift for busy moms who are stylish but also prioritize comfort and functionality. With lots of mommy and me styles, they’re perfect for your kids too! I love finding products that we can all enjoy and wear together.

A Clean House

It’s no surprise that moms love a clean house. Helping out with the dishes, cleaning the kitchen, or catching up on laundry (folded and put away) is a great way to show your appreciation for mom. If you want to really wow her, clean the whole house, kids room(s) included.

A Break from Kids

As much as moms love their kids, they also crave time alone. Whether it’s simply reading a book or taking a trip to the spa or salon, time alone without kids can be just the break moms need to recharge. Take the kids out for a bit and let mom do whatever she wants in the peace and quiet of her own home.

Time with her Kids

Although this may contradict the previous point, a mom stills want to celebrate Mother’s Day with the tiny humans who made her a mom in the first place. Spending time with her kids is also a simple and easy way to celebrate the holiday. Whether it’s a trip to the park together, a family walk, or a nice meal out to eat (or carryout), moms will want to spend time together too.

Something Homemade

Nothing makes my heart happier than something my girls have made for me. There are so many cute craft ideas on Pinterest made from little handprints or adorable family photos. For older kids, a handwritten letter or sweet homemade card is something mom will truly cherish.

A Clean Car

I’m not sure about other families, but my car is almost always a mess, especially with young kids. It’s filled with kids toys, mismatched socks, missing sippy cups, spare clothes and who knows what else. Make mom happy by cleaning out the family car. Give it a good wash and wipe down, inside and out. She will thank you!

All The Sleep

If you really want to give mom a break, LET HER SLEEP. Let her sleep in and let her take an uninterrupted nap in the afternoon. If you need to take the kids out of the house for a bit, see #6 above. Breakfast in bed is a great idea too!

What special Mother’s day traditions do you celebrate? Let me know in the comments! Don’t forget to shop these Reebok Harman Run shoes available online at Kohl’s for both moms and kids for a confident and memorable Mother’s Day.
